Transferring Records
The Colorado State Archives is the legal repository for selected historical and contemporary records and information generated by state and local governments in Colorado. In general, Colorado State Archives accepts records:
- created by a government office in the state of Colorado
- designated for permanent retention by records managers at the State Archives
The following video provides a fuller explanation of the transfer process.
The Colorado State Archives has three transfer programs: the Permanent Records program, the Security Copy program, and the Records Center. Please see the buttons below the video that will link to more information on each program.
